Goal

The 13th International Conference on Agile Software Development, XP2012 will be held in Malmo, Sweden, May 21-25 2012. The organizers have made arrangements to facilitate the running of work­shops on scientific research related to Agile and Lean methodologies. Each workshop will typically be one day long, and will be managed and run by its organizers, including Web site, call for papers, paper selection and publication. Please note that papers presented at Scientific Workshops will be not be published in XP2012 proceedings. Each workshop organizer will be in charge for its own workshop.

It is necessary to register for XP2012 in order to attend workshops. Meeting rooms will be provided by XP2012 organization. XP2012 Workshops will provide opportunities for re­searchers to exchange and discuss scientific and engineering ideas at a stage before they have matured to warrant conference or journal publication.

Submissions

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit 2-4 page proposals for scientific workshops on the topics of the Call for Papers of XP2012. The XP2012 Organizing Committee will determine the final list of accepted workshops based on the recommendations from the Scientific Workshop Chairs and subject to the availability of space and facilities.

The proposals must be in English using the Springer LNBIP style, or a similar style. They should include:

  • contact information of the workshop organizers;
  • outline of the themes and goals of the workshop, including a brief abstract (less than 200 words) intended for the XP2012 web site;
  • concise motivation of the workshop's relevance to the field of Agile and Lean;
  • estimate of the audience size;
  • proposed format and agenda;
  • procedures for selecting papers and participants;
  • plans for dissemination, if any (for example, special issues of journals);
  • duration (which should be one day), and preferred day.

  • January 14, 2012 – Submission deadline
  • January 25, 2012 – Notification of acceptance
